About Exon-Intron

Exon-Intron, Inc. is a biotechnology education firm. This year we celebrate our 20th anniversary and the continuation of our long tradition as a provider of expert technical training to scientists of virtually every level of sophistication. By placing great emphasis on hands-on, laboratory-intensive training, our workshops provide the researcher with the necessary skills and insight to plan and perform cutting-edge research, and to interpret the resulting data. These programs are comprehensive and provide the participant with enough knowledge to be conversant in the language of biotechnology and to teach these methods to students in all areas of science.

Many of the workshops we offer are conducted at the Exon-Intron training facility on the Penn State campus in York, Pennsylvania. In the summer and fall of 2007, the only workshop format available will be on-site, meaning that we will conduct the course(s) at your location. We offer "on-the-road" training both in the United States and abroad. Our teaching philosophy stresses "learning by immersion" - each workshop is a rigorous exploration of the subtleties of a particular aspect of biotechnology.

More than 75% of our workshop participants hold advanced degrees, and there is something for everyone at Exon-Intron. We routinely train research scientists, Ph.D.'s, M.D.'s, veterinarians, lab technicians, corporate technical services departments, college faculty, and sales and marketing personnel. A large percentage of participants are engaged actively in diverse research, a profile which itself acts as the impetus for rather dynamic interaction among the participating scientists. All workshops are staffed only by bench-current, Ph.D.-level scientists, and enrollment is strictly limited so that everyone has the opportunity for extensive hands-on contact. Let us help you. Give us a call today.

We do not sell kits, reagents or chemistries; workshop participants are therefore presented with a variety of methods and strategies directed toward the same experimental end.
